Award-winning restaurant PDQ—short for “People Dedicated to Quality”—will open its newest store in Edmond, Oklahoma, this Sunday, June 25, making it the company’s 57th U.S. location and the first in the state of Oklahoma. With its quality approach, PDQ offers chef-driven recipes and mindful ingredients typically found in a fine casual restaurant with the value, speed and convenience of the fast food and fast casual segment.

PDQ Edmond will open with dishes from the company’s newest chef-inspired menu created by PDQ Executive Chef Michael Brannock and Chef Bryce Bonsack. The new menu items—in addition to the famous hand-breaded chicken tenders, hand-tossed salads, made-to-order sandwiches, and hand-spun milkshakes—include seasonal bowls such as the Thai Peanut and Southern Buffalo, chicken sandwiches like the Southern Pimento Crunch and Grilled Hawaiian, and specialty salads including the Kale Caesar and Garden Citrus. Along with a selection of sides such as roasted garlic broccoli, sweet potatoes, fresh apple slices with toffee dip, and hand-breaded fresh zucchini fries, nearly everything on the menu features PDQ’s 14 homemade sauces and dressings, all made from scratch in-house every day.

The Edmond location will be franchised by Traditions Fast Casual Holdings, led by Vice President Marcus Tilley. Tilley spearheads a group of local investors and is active in the operations. Tilley has opened and operated local businesses in the Oklahoma area for the past 24 years. With experience across many industries, he is also the President of Traditions Spirits, a premier hospitality management company that services numerous Indian Gaming facilities throughout Oklahoma, and will be assuming the title of Oklahoma Restaurant Chairman in 2018. With plans to extend in the Oklahoma market, PDQ currently has two additional locations slated to open by the end of 2017 in Oklahoma City and Norman, respectively. Justin Heagerty, who began his PDQ career in Austin, will oversee all Oklahoma locations as the Market Director.

“We are delighted to open our first location in Edmond and bring PDQ to Oklahoma,” says PDQ CEO and co-founder Nick Reader. “Marcus Tilley is a leader across the state of Oklahoma, and we are thrilled to partner with him and his team to bring PDQ to the people in his community”.

This Sunday, at the grand opening, the first 50 guests in line on opening day will receive a $50 PDQ Gift Card, lunch on us, and a PDQ swag bag.

A fit for all members of the family, PDQ Edmond is located at 1600 E. 2nd Street, Edmond, OK and is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. The newest location includes PDQ’s signature open kitchen, as well as indoor and outdoor seating where guests can enjoy favorites for dine-in or take-out, as well as a drive-thru and availability to cater for events.

PDQ, who aims to develop ties in its local communities, will be donating to local Edmond organizations including the Boy Scouts Association of America (BSA) Troop 21; Edmond Soccer Club; Oklahoma City Energy FC Soccer Club; Edmond Little League and Edmond All Sports.
