Snappy Salads, the award-winning, eco-friendly salad restaurant, will open two new north Texas locations later this month at 5252 Main Street in the Frisco Market Center and 717 N. Harwood Street in downtown Dallas.

The new downtown Dallas location will offer Snappy Salads’ first breakfast menu, featuring a Sunrise Salad, Mashed Avocado Toast, Greek Yogurt Mousse, and a new Breakfast Wrap.

“We are excited to continue our controlled expansion in the DFW area and can’t wait to offer our guests a variety of fresh, nutritious choices for breakfast at our downtown Dallas location. This breakfast menu is a game changer.  Now, you don’t have to just settle for the same old, same old breakfast,” says Chris Dahlander, CEO. “In a market where there’s a glut of hamburger, barbeque, and fried chicken restaurants, Snappy Salads has created a loyal following by offering a wide variety of salads that have proven to convert even the self-proclaimed non-salad eaters into ‘Snapsters.’ My favorite reaction from guests is when they tell me that they never ate salads until they came to Snappy Salads.”

Guests can select their favorite menu salad, like the best-selling Grilled Avocado or Bam Bam Salad.  Guests can also create their own salad with the option of adding sautéed wild-caught Alaskan salmon, grass-fed tenderloin, all-natural grilled chicken, and other made-to-order additions. Snappy Salads relies on Culinary Managers to prepare fresh-cut produce, house-made dressings and soups.

Both locations will continue the eco-friendly initiatives that were established at Snappy Salads first location in 2006. Long gathering tables are made from salvaged wood, lighting is energy-efficient, takeout containers and utensils are biodegradable, cups are made from corn, and the most notable – paper straws.  Guests can also recycle CFLs (compact fluorescent light bulbs) and batteries at all locations free of charge.

“We are very proud of the fact that we are leaving this world healthier than the way we found it,” Dahlander says.

Snappy Salads recently celebrated its 11th anniversary with these recent openings bringing the total number of locations to 14.  Further expansion is planned for Houston and Austin in 2017.
