Project Juice, the Bay Area’s leading organic clean food and beverage company, announced the official opening day of its newest location will be Saturday, landing the company in the East Bay for the first time. The 680-square-foot space is situated in the new Jamestown Properties development at 1911 Fourth Street in Berkeley, and will be open seven days a week. A grand opening party is slated for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. August 12, with 100 percent of the event’s proceeds benefitting Berkeley Public Schools Fund.

The Berkeley location brings the company’s mission to the community with the goal of helping its new and existing customers feel awesome through the power of clean food and drinks. The menu will feature an array of chef-driven, made-to-order items, including superfood smoothies, superfood bowls, gluten-free toasts, wellness elixirs, cold-brew and kombucha on tap, and hot coffee and tea. Project Juice’s convenient grab-and-go menu will also be available, featuring a rotating seasonal selection of certified organic cold-pressed juices, nut mylks, cleanses, salads, gluten-free pastries, and raw snacks.

“We couldn’t be more excited to plant our first East Bay roots in Berkeley,” co-founder Greg Malsin says. “We look forward to bringing healthy and convenient options to the surrounding neighborhood while also supporting the community.”

Project Juice will continue its partnerships with local artisans such as Jane, Nana Joes, Sightglass Coffee and Samovar Tea to bring the best of what the Bay Area has to offer all under one roof. All items served will be free of gluten, dairy, peanuts, and soy, making it a friendly stop for anyone who struggles with food allergies and sensitivities.

The team at Project Juice values the community-focused, and planet-driven population of Berkeley, and sees this expansion as celebrating its continued commitment to propel a model of sustainability forward, while pledging to work with local and organic farmers. Through thoughtful innovation and customer feedback, the team at Project Juice continually improves products that make it easy for the consumer to access healthy food and beverages, and looks forward to welcoming those thoughts from the people of Berkeley. The company has plans in the near future to release new food and beverage offerings, as well to continue to expand its retail footprint.
