Wingstop, Inc., the award-winning wing concept with more than 1,000 locations worldwide, unlocks the newest platform in its digital arsenal Tuesday with the introduction of dynamic SMS text ordering. For the first time, wing fans can place fully customizable combo, family pack and by-the-piece orders of their favorite, cooked to order wings and made from scratch sides by engaging Wingbot, Wingstop’s virtual ordering assistant, through a series of simple mobile text messages and prompts.

“Texting has become one of the leading methods of communication today, so what’s more natural than inviting our fans to feed their flavor cravings by placing an order in the way that feels most comfortable and familiar?” says Stacy Peterson, chief experience officer at Wingstop. “Wingstop was one of the first restaurant brands to launch social ordering via Twitter and Facebook Messenger, plus the first to offer voice-activated ordering with menu customization through Amazon Echo powered by Alexa. We’re now just taking that conversation one step further, making digital ordering more convenient and effortless than ever before.”

To place orders through text, Wingstop fans need only engage Wingbot via four simple and fool-proof steps:

Text the word “order” to “WINGS” (or “94647”) to begin your order.

Submit your zip code for the order to be placed with the nearest Wingstop location.

Select any eligible item from the menu and customize your flavors, sides and dips.

Place the order and receive details on the pick-up, including an estimated timeframe as to when it will be ready, restaurant directions and phone number for your Wingstop location.

While no account is necessary to place a Wingstop order via SMS, fans who do have an existing Wingstop.com account can choose to conveniently pay with the credit card already on file without having to re-enter any information. Wingbot also recalls a previous or favorite order, so wing fans can feed their flavor cravings over and over again with ease.
