Spring, Texas’ first Salata was such a success, the popular salad bar is opening its second restaurant in the area at 6630 Spring Stuebner Road, Ste. 500 on Thursday. The new restaurant in the Grand Parkway Marketplace will kick off its grand opening festivities at 10:30 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce and Salata executives. Doors open to the public at 11 a.m. Local residents should not be surprised if Salata fans start lining up early for the grand opening because the first 50 dine-in customers at the new restaurant will eat for free. All of Thursday’s guests will also have the chance to win prizes and swag items.

“We’re really happy that the people of Spring are such big fans of our tossed-to-order, fresh and healthy salads and salad wraps,” says franchise Owner Joe Piro. “I have lived in the Spring/Klein area for 30 years and I am proud to bring the concept to our community. We’re also looking forward to continuing our support of Spring Klein ISD and other organizations throughout Spring.”

Spring’s newest Salata will kick off its community support efforts by donating 30 percent of the proceeds made on grand opening day to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Explorers Program. The program supports individuals between the ages of 14 and 21 who are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.

“We are proud to devote our opening day to raising money for the Explorers,” says Piro. “The program makes a difference in the lives of young people by helping them choose a great career path, while also encouraging them to become responsible citizens.”

Salata will also open its second location in northeast Houston on Friday. Located at 14237 East Sam Houston Parkway N., Ste. 250, the new restaurant will kick off its grand opening festivities at 10 a.m. with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce. “The Westlake Marketplace is such a vibrant area, with great people, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to start serving our healthy, quality food,” says Karim Haji, Salata franchisee. “I invite everyone to come check out our beautiful new restaurant on Friday. There will be live music, fun prizes and, of course, delicious food. Along with serving our fresh, tossed-to-order salads and salad wraps, we are also looking forward to continuing to support the local schools, organizations and businesses in this great community.”
