Mama Fu’s Asian House, an Austin, Texas-based, privately held fast-casual restaurant, has released its newest Spice Market Menu, this time highlighting an essential ingredient for all Asian cuisines—garlic The limited-time-only menu is available at all Mama Fu’s locations from September 1—November 30.
Each Spice Market Menu highlights a specific ingredient, ultimately bringing new Asian comfort food to the already robust Mama Fu’s menu. The Garlic Spice Market Menu includes:
Crab Rangoon Queso
Mama Fu’s famous Crab Rangoons turned inside-out with added Texan flair. Blue crab claw meat mixed into cream cheese queso with roasted garlic, chives and topped with sriracha. Available with wonton chips or fresh vegetables for dipping. A favorite to win this year’s “wildcard” category at the annual Quesoff on August 26.
Honey Garlic Shrimp and Calamari
An Asian version of Fritto Misto that is spicy, garlicky, sweet and crispy. Features fried shrimp and calamari tossed in a tangy sauce made with pan roasted garlic, honey and chilies.
Double Garlic Green Beans
Your choice of protein on a bed of fresh green beans, baby corn and onions, stir fried in a toasted garlic soy sauce. Topped with black garlic aioli, adding a perfect mix of savory, caramelized richness alongside tangy garlic undertones.
Korean Tacos
Featuring crispy tender chicken tossed in a spicy garlic gochujang sauce and wrapped in a flour tortilla. Gochujang is a popular Korean chili paste that adds a distinctive Korean kick, bright red color, and pairs well with garlic. Complimented with kimchi and house-made pickles on the side.
Szechuan Noodles
Hearty wheat noodles with your choice of protein, seared with Sichuan peppercorns (which are known to make your lips tingle a bit), garlic, scallions, carrots and great beans in a spicy chicken broth.
