Cava, a leading Mediterranean fast casual restaurant and culinary brand, today opens its second restaurant in New Jersey at 2701 Bergen Town Center by celebrating with a free community lunch from 12-2 p.m. The brand’s first restaurant in New Jersey opened in July at 30 Montgomery Street in Jersey City, and another location in Bridgewater is slated to open later this year.

Paramus is Cava’s 36th restaurant and the latest in a series of nationwide openings in 2017 that will take the restaurant to over 40, ranging from suburban to city center restaurants, a testament to the universal appeal of the food and experience on offer.

“New Jersey residents want food that is healthy, boldly-flavored, and satisfying,” says CEO, Brett Schulman. “After a very warm welcome in Jersey City earlier this year, we’re excited to meet the Paramus community and introduce them to the flavors of Cava.”

The day of opening, Cava invites the neighborhood to come in for community lunch from 12-2 p.m.—a tradition that started with the very first restaurant opening back in 2011, but is rooted in the heritage of the founders. “Sharing a meal was part of our culture and how we welcomed our new neighbors growing up,” says co-founder Ted Xenohristos. “People can join CAVA for free lunch and pay it forward with a donation to Grow To Learn, their local non-profit partner, whose mission is to introduce a sustainable garden to every school in New York City.

The newest location features Cava’s fall menu, which boasts seasonal additions including Greek Minestrone with Harissa, sweet and crunchy Carrots & Currants, and a refreshing line-up of house-made juices and teas.
