Cava, a leading Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant and culinary brand, today opens a location at 620 Commons Way in Bridgewater Commons. Bridgewater will be the third restaurant in New Jersey, adding to its existing locations at 30 Montgomery Street in Jersey City and 2701 Bergen Town Center in Paramus.

Bridgewater is Cava’s 38th restaurant and the latest in a series of nationwide openings in 2017 that will take the restaurant to over 40. The newest restaurant outpost features a convenient rear entrance to allow for seamless digital order pick-ups and bold design elements across the interior space.

“We’re excited to introduce the vibrant flavors of Cava to central New Jersey,” says Cava, Brett Schulman.  “Bridgewater Commons is a hub of activity, and it’s the perfect place to share our bold cuisine.”

On opening day, Cava invites the local neighborhood to join their team for community lunch – a tradition that started with the very first restaurant opening back in 2011 and is rooted in the heritage of its three founders. “Sharing a meal was part of our culture and how we welcomed our new neighbors growing up,” said Co-Founder Ted Xenohristos. The Bridgewater community can join Cava for free lunch from 12-2pm and pay it forward with a donation to Grow To Learn, Cava’s local non-profit partner, whose mission is to introduce a sustainable garden to every school in New York City.

Cava offers a customizable menu of over 50 offerings like their signature Crazy Feta, Border Springs Spicy Lamb Meatballs, and Cauliflower Quinoa Tabbouleh as well as creative rotating seasonal offerings of juices, soups, and roasted vegetables. Cava is committed to working with best in class food partners including local farmers and artisan producers.

Cava’s fall menu, which launched on September 18, boasts seasonal additions including Greek Minestrone with Harissa, sweet and crunchy Carrots & Currants, and a refreshing line-up of house-made juices and teas.

The new location is 3,311 square feet and seats 66 people.
