Cowboy Chicken, the fast casual concept known for its wood-fired rotisserie chicken and homemade sides, quickly corralled a legion of dedicated fans upon opening its first Oklahoma City location last year. Now, the fast-growing Dallas-based brand looks to round up even more followers with its second restaurant in the area, coming in April to Edmond.

“Oklahoma City has really embraced Cowboy Chicken in a big way,” says Cody Trammell, franchise owner and operator with the Southern Fired Hospitality Group. “We can’t wait to bring our authentic, wood-fired flavor and one-of-a-kind dining experience to the community of Edmond.”

Construction is already underway at the new restaurant, located at 410 Bryant Ave., and Cowboy Chicken is searching for energetic crew members who are dedicated to bringing a fast, healthy dining alternative and warm, friendly customer service to Edmond.

An Edmond resident himself, Trammell has been in the restaurant business nearly 20 years. He and his business partners plan to open additional Cowboy Chicken restaurants in Oklahoma City, Tulsa and beyond over the next few years.

Cowboy Chicken serves all-natural, hormone-free rotisserie chickens that are hand-seasoned in store, marinated for 24 hours and then slowly roasted for two hours over a real wood-burning fire. Hearty and healthy dishes are available during lunch and dinner for dine-in, take out, catering and delivery. On-the-go diners can order on the Cowboy Chicken app, available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which allows guests to order ahead, pay with their phone at checkout and earn rewards.
