Tijuana Flats announced Monday that it is opening a new location in Windermere, Florida on April 9. The new store is located at 6527 Old Brick Rd. in the Westside Shoppes Plaza on SR 535 and spans 2,400 square feet. Seating capacity is 107, with 83 interior seats and 24 exterior seats.

To celebrate the grand opening, Tijuana Flats is hosting several in-store events, including a meet-and-greet with Orlando City’s Joe Bendik from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11. On Saturday, April 14, 20 percent of all sales will be donated through the Tijuana Flats’ Just in Queso Foundation to Orlando After School All Stars, Summer of Dreams program that gives homeless children in Orange County a safe place to go during the summer months. Additionally, the new store will feature Tijuana Tuesdaze (two tacos, chips, and a drink for $5.99) and Throwback Thursdaze (burrito or bowl, chips and a drink for $5.99) specials this and every subsequent week.

“Orlando is our home, and we are so excited to have the opportunity to continue to serve this city in a new location,” says Justin Brown, area supervisor. “Between our grand opening events, Tijuana Tuesdaze and Throwback Thursdaze specials, as well as our upcoming Cinco de Mayo festivities, there are plenty of opportunities for new and old “Flatheads” to experience our “Flat Outrageous” atmosphere and celebrate our new store.”

The Windermere location is the first store that Tijuana Flats has opened this year, and the Tex-Mex chain plans to open an additional four stores in markets across Florida and Virginia in the coming months.
