New City MIcrocreamery will bring the first large batch liquid nitrogen ice cream to the Boston area. The shop is currently scouting the Boston area for a potential summer pop-up and eventual second location featuring their signature farm fresh liquid nitrogen ice cream. New City Microcreamery plans to include scratch-made Vegan Ice Cream featuring flavors like Chocolate Avocado, Vanilla, Oreo and Mounds all made using the same liquid nitrogen technique resulting in a rich bite with a luxurious texture.

New City Microcreamery was founded in downtown Hudson by Michael Kasseris, Karim El-Gamal and Jason Kleinerman in May of 2015. They opened Rail Trail Flatbread Co starting a Hudson resurgence in late 2012 and continued the momentum with their ice cream shop.  The kitchen is lead by Executive Pastry Chef Alyssa Liebeman. The pop-ups are planned to happen while the partners scout a second brick and mortar location.

On April 4, New City Microcreamery opened up the pop-up discussion to fans in a social media post on Facebook reaching over 30,000 people.  “It’s important for us to ask our community where they would like to see New City Microcreamery next. It has been fun engaging our customers in this exciting conversation” says Michael Kasseris Partner of New City Microcreamery. “We look forward to introducing our brand to the Greater Boston area.”

Summer flavors will include reappearing fan favorites like Lime Avocado, Sweet Corn and Blueberry Rooibos.  Chef Lieberman looks forward to another collaboration with Medusa Brewing. “Beer and ice cream are a natural match,” says Lieberman. “The richness in the ice cream brings out the nuances in the beer.  We love working directly with Sully [owner of Medusa] to craft the perfect batch.” The Cherry IPA Collaboration will be a limited-run and followers on social media will be the first to know when it starts scooping.
