Rita’s Italian announced the release of its new signature line of “Mocktails” flavored Italian Ice, beginning on Saturday, May 5. At Rita’s stores each week of May, you can expect to find a new Mocktail flavor of Rita’s classic Italian ice, inspired by popular cocktails. The flavors will include: Margarita, Mojito, Piña Colada and Tropical Daiquiri. Enjoy all Mocktails flavors on their own or include them in your own signature treat as a Gelati, Blendini, Misto or Frozen Drink. Rita’s will offer small frozen drink Mocktails for only $1.99 from May 5 to June 3. It’s happy hour, any hour.

“At Rita’s, we’re all about family fun and celebrating with the ones we love. What better way to do so than to make happy hour, any hour. With our signature line of Mocktails flavored Italian Ice, we have created a unique twist on fun flavors that the whole family can enjoy,” says Linda Chadwick, president and CEO of Rita’s Italian Ice.

Rita’s is particularly excited about adding two totally new flavors to their collection, with Mojito and Tropical Daiquiri. Each week in May, beginning on Cinco de Mayo, a new flavor will roll out at local Rita’s stores for the following week. The month will kick off with Margarita (May 5–13), Mojito (May 14–20), Tropical Daiquiri (May 21–27) and last but not least, Piña Colada (May 28–June 3). Guests are encouraged to bring the party back home with quarts of these new Rita’s flavors as well. To add to the fun, Rita’s is encouraging fans on their corporate Facebook to share photos and tag friends as each new flavor rolls out. Some fans may win a Rita’s party pack!

In May 1984, Philadelphia firefighter Bob Tumolo enhanced his prized family recipe to include real fruit and named the product after his wife, Rita, and Rita’s Italian Ice was born. Since then, Rita’s has staked its claim in the frozen treats industry by planting franchises across the country that offer a happy atmosphere, as well as set the standard for fresh, flavorful and quality-driven Italian ice.
