Charlotte-based Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill held a fundraiser to benefit The Salvation Army’s relief efforts for Hurricane Florence.

On September 20, the system quickly held a donation day and corporate donated $1 for each burrito sold on that day, totaling $10,000.

“We’re so glad that our company could contribute to the relief efforts,” says Salsarita’s Fresh Mexican Grill CEO Phil Friedman. “The Salvation Army helps make a difference in people’s lives and we just had to act quickly to help contribute to the cause. And, with our headquarters based in North Carolina, we just had to be proactive and assist with the recovery.”

A $10,000 check was presented by Salsarita’s CEO Phil Friedman to Major Broome with the Charlotte Salvation Army on October 4.
