Veggie Grill, the go-to destination for plant-based, craveable, chef-inspired food, will launch its first-ever restaurant in New York City. Now operating 31 locations in California, Oregon, Washington and Illinois, Veggie Grill is slated to open its Flatiron District location in the spring of 2019.

As the first East Coast restaurant, Veggie Grill’s New York City opening is a milestone for the brand and part of the company’s greater growth plans. Over the past year, Veggie Grill launched its first location in the Midwest in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood followed by openings in Chicago’s The Loop and most recently in Berkeley, CA. “The expansion of Veggie Grill to the East Coast could not come at a better time,” says Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heeley. “Plant-based food and clean eating continues to be a growing trend, especially in big cities, so New York City is a very exciting opening for us and we look forward to joining the community there.”

The Flatiron District is a dynamic neighborhood with many of Veggie Grill’s core consumers so the location is ideal for the brand. The restaurant will provide New Yorkers who live and work in the area with a new dining destination for bold, veggie-centric cuisine. Veggie Grill favorites will be offered, including the VG Beyond Burger, Santa Fe Crispy Chickin’, Sonoran Bowl, and Mediterranean Supergreens Salad. Made from 100% veggies, fruits, grains, seeds and nuts, the menu is a seasonal celebration that brings vegetables to the center of the plate.
