In honor of the season of giving, Furious Spoon announced a multi-faceted philanthropic campaign, including a partnership with Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) throughout November and December. The partnership kicks off the Chicago-based restaurant’s #GiveFuriously initiatives and will offer an opportunity for diners, fans and followers to give back in various ways. Proceeds raised will go directly to CCH for community programs, advocacy and more.

“This time of year is all about giving back, and we are honored to partner with Chicago Coalition for the Homeless to #GiveFuriously,” says Shin Thompson, Executive Chef and Partner of Furious Spoon. “Our unique position in the restaurant industry gives us the opportunity to give back in more ways than one. Not only can we donate proceeds and product to those who need it, we can also donate our time.”

Furious Spoon will give furiously to CCH in three different ways:

At all locations, guests who donate $1 or more of their purchase to CCH will receive a coupon for a free topping on their next purchase.

Beginning on November 1st, those who donate to CCH via  Facebook or share the post by using #GiveFuriously will be entered to win a free noodle class.

For all noodle class bookings during November and December, 25 percent of proceeds will go to CCH when guests use the code “GiveFuriously”

“We are excited to partner with Furious Spoon this holiday season through their #GiveFuriously efforts. Chicago Coalition for the Homeless does not accept government funding, so we rely on the support of individuals, foundations, and businesses that share our commitment to ending homelessness,” says Doug Schenkelberg, Executive Director of Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. “The generous support of Furious Spoon and their patrons will make a huge difference in the lives of individuals, families, and youth experiencing homelessness in Chicago.

For the fourth year in a row, Furious Spoon will be giving out free bowls of ramen to those in need on Thanksgiving Day; this year the bowls will be available at the Wicker Park location. Signature ramen bowls, hip-hop tunes and all, the Chicago concept welcomes those near and far to give thanks and #GiveFuriously this Turkey Day. No proof of income is required.

“Not only are we giving back directly to the Chicago community on a deeper level, but we also want to provide our guests and employees the chance to contribute to something greater,” adds Thompson.
