Fans of Chick-fil-A no longer have to dine at a restaurant to get their hands on the original chicken sandwich. The chain announced Tuesday a new partnership with DoorDash, rolling out the delivery service to 1,100 restaurants nationwide.

“So many of our guests’ busy lives and family commitments have them strapped for time. Delivery is one way we can help them get a quick yet high quality meal,” said Jon Bridges, Chick-fil-A senior vice president and chief marketing officer, in a statement. “If they’re unable to come to us, we’ll come to them.”

To celebrate the new partnership with DoorDash, Chick-fil-A is giving away 200,000 free Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches when an order is placed with the delivery service. Guests can use the promo code “CFADELIVERY” to receive their free sandwich.

Chick-fil-A is known for its excellent customer service and convenience in its restaurants. Over the past year, the company created initiatives to try to bring this same experience to off-premises dining. The company relaunched its mobile app in August, allowing customers to order, earn rewards, and give feedback from their phone. Another way Chick-fil-A is expanding outside of the four walls of the restaurant is through meal kits, which it tested in Atlanta over the summer.

The company began testing delivery with DoorDash in 2017. To perfect a nationwide rollout, both companies worked together to create custom technology ensuring an accurate and smooth delivery experience. Chick-fil-A said in a statement during the pilot testing that “98 percent of respondents who used DoorDash during the pilot said the food they ordered was consistent with what they expected from Chick-fil-A. The testing also revealed 90 percent of DoorDash orders include waffle fries.”

During the pilot, peak ordering hours were around dinner and days that had inclement weather. Chick-fil-A also revealed restaurants near universities and hospitals had the highest delivery sales during the pilot.

“Chick-fil-A’s standout business momentum is a testament to how they listen to what their customers want,” Christopher Payne, chief operating officer at DoorDash, said in a statement. “Customers expect convenience without sacrificing quality, and DoorDash is thrilled to provide that level of service to Chick-fil-A’s loyal fan base through door-to-door delivery. We’re proud to be a part of their journey and provide new ways for customers to enjoy their favorite Chick-fil-A menu items from anywhere.”
