Gusto! founder Nate Hybl announced the fifth and most innovative outpost of his flavorful fast casual concept, which is scheduled to open fall 2019 on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Chamblee near Whole Foods Market. The Atlanta-based restaurant brand is beloved for its fresh bowls & wraps with bold, global flavors for lunch and dinner, and the new Chamblee restaurant will be the first to offer a drive-thru option as an added convenience for guests.

“We are very grateful to the city of Chamblee and the land owners for welcoming our local Atlanta brand with open arms,” says Hybl. “There is so much progress and change occurring in the nearby neighborhoods, and we are truly thrilled to join the community.”

Gusto!’s Director of Operations and Strategy Richmond Green lends his former expertise at Chick-fil-A to the design of the restaurant’s new drive-thru operation, which will include a “co-pilot” outside to assist guests in ordering. This format will replicate the ordering process guests currently get inside gusto! restaurants.

“I’ve always had the goal of making parents’ lives easier and introducing a new value for fresh, flavorful food. This drive-thru model will definitely be a gamechanger,” Hybl says.

Gusto! Chamblee will serve the same menu as the company’s other locations, which brings food to life with freshness and flavor, not fat. The restaurant’s team greets guests by asking “what’s your gusto?” Inspired by both international cuisine and familiar American flavors, these gustos – like sweet soy sriracha, chile sesame bbq or tahini cucumber feta – can be hot, bright, earthy or sweet. The next steps are as simple as picking a style (mixed greens, Jasmine brown rice, half greens and half rice or a flatbread wrap) and adding a grilled protein (chicken, shrimp or portabella mushroom). The menu features all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken and, whenever possible, local and organic ingredients.

“I have a love for design and architecture, and this building combines city of Chamblee characteristics with some of my favorite architectural elements,” Hybl says. The project reached fruition via a collaborative process involving designer Lindsay Denman and architects Gensler, Office of Design, and Pro Building Systems. The Chamblee location will display gusto!’s bright, modern industrial design details, showcasing an 18’ tall glass front with an indoor mural that can be seen from outside the restaurant. White brick, exposed steel beams, and Cypress wood from South Georgia will be featured on the exteriors and interiors.
