Del Taco announced Tuesday that it has signed a multi-unit deal for Brevard County, Florida with seasoned retail and restaurant operators Navdeep Bassi “Bassi,” Shubegh Bassi and Aman Singh.

With 580 locations in 14 states, Del Taco has a loyal fan base and a strong presence across the western United States, with plenty of room for franchisees to grow in both existing markets and new markets as they continue to grow in the Southeast.

“We’ve been involved in the retail and restaurant industry since 1995 and are looking forward to taking our skills and experience to grow Del Taco in Brevard County,” says Navdeep. “Living in Southern California, we have always been fans of the brand’s commitment to quality ingredients, emphasis on the customer experience and its delicious food and are excited to be a part of the Del Taco movement sweeping the country coast to coast.”

Navdeep has had a long run in the retail industry, including owning and managing multiple convenience stores throughout Southern California. Navdeep’s cousin Aman has also been a part of the industry, for more than a decade and has been a Florida resident since 2010, operating both convenience and food businesses. Navdeep and Aman are working closely with their experienced operations partner who has more than 30 years of experience in the QSR sector in the Brevard County area.

Del Taco offers its guests a unique variety of both Mexican and American favorites, such as tacos, burritos, burgers and fries, prepared fresh daily in the restaurant. Each meal is prepared to order with quality ingredients made in the restaurant. Ongoing menu innovation that appeals to a broad demographic is credited for driving increased traffic and sales.

“We are committed to growing Del Taco strategically with new franchise partners that possess our cultural values around freshly made food served fast and delivering a great restaurant experience for our guests,” adds Jeff Little, Senior Vice President of Development “Navdeep and Aman share that vision and will be a fantastic addition to our Del Taco franchise community. For more than 50 years, we have been perfecting our business model so we can attract quality franchisees, such as Navdeep and Aman, and we are proud to have them become part of the brand and work together with us to continue to build our presence in the southeast.

Del Taco’s franchising business model, made up of operations consulting, management training programs and marketing support, is designed to attract individuals or groups with a strong business acumen, experience in the restaurant industry and an interest in multi-unit franchising. The brand’s unique value oriented quick-service-plus positioning within the rapidly growing Mexican quick-service segment presents great growth potential for experienced multi-unit operators looking to diversify their portfolios with a brand consistently on the forefront of delivering industry leading results.
