Anna Molina and Julia Pellegrini, design principals at MPADA, announced that their family run salad eatery MIXT will have a grand opening at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, California on Saturday, April 27, located at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Road (at Sunset Drive). One of the most notable San Francisco architecture and interior design firms, MPADA teamed up with MIXT late last year as the design architect for eight new eateries opening nationwide this year, of which San Ramon is their second following Oakland that opened earlier this month.

“The new MIXT spaces are successful because the architecture and food work so well together. It’s all about feeling good,” says Julia Pellegrini. The design for each location is unique, with a blend of site specific elements alongside signature pieces that carry through all locations. At San Ramon, the space complements the larger Renzo Piano designed building with white metal, light wood and concrete. Custom light fixtures and a custom taupe and mint hued tile wall create a memorable vibe. MPADA believes that design matters.

As a female led firm with innovative practices, Anna and Julia are considered disruptors in the architecture industry. Committed to design for all and specializing in restaurant, residential and hospitality projects, MPADA’s creative, awardwinning designs produce unique spaces where you walk in and feel that you are somewhere special. MPADA creates beauty. Part of the cultural trend towards healthy living, salad focused eateries are in high demand right now. MIXT is a leader of this trend, and is part of the boom in fast casual dining. The chain Sweetgreen, founded in Washington D.C., is valued at over $1 billion.

From sprout to plate, MIXT is all about offering smart, healthy, on the go people food that matches their lifestyle. MIXT is a food movement committed to the belief that everyone deserves good food. Serving over a million pounds of local, organic vegetables a year, MIXT continually raises the bar for quality and sustainable food, with their most loyal customers eating with them 21 times a month.

You don’t have to choose between fast and healthy. The newest MIXT will feature seasonal salads, plates, grain bowls and sandwiches as well as a kids menu and beer, wine and organic kombucha on tap. MIXT joins The Slanted Door, Boba Guys, Fieldwork Brewing Company, Roam Artisan Burgers and The Lot at Bishop Ranch. Ramen Hiroshi, Social Affair, C Casa, Bamboo Sushi, Curry up Now and Gio Gelati will open later this year creating moments to savor. MIXT San Ramon’s Grand Opening is on Saturday, 27 April 2019 and the festivities will include tote bags with freebies for the first 250 customers. Next month MIXT will be opening at McKinney and Olive in Dallas, Texas.
