Voodoo Doughnut rolls out a new quarterly giving campaign, bringing back a fan favorite, the Cherry Time (and the lemon’s easy).  This summertime treat is a raised yeast doughnut topped with vanilla frosting, lemonade dust, yellow sprinkles and filled with cherry jelly.

As part of their commitment to giving back, Voodoo will donate a portion of proceeds from every Cherry Time sold back to Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN).

“Coming from a family who has experienced the challenges and more importantly, the joy of someone with autism, I am really happy to be a part of this sweet partnership,” says Voodoo Doughnut co-founder, Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson.

This year, Voodoo Doughnut has raised over $14,000 for non-profit organizations through their quarterly give-back campaign.

Voodoo Doughnut is the brainchild of old friends Cat Daddy and Tres Shannon. In 2003 they decided to embark on a shared entrepreneurial venture. Cat Daddy and Tres built their “little doughnut shop that could,” into a dynamic fun zone in front of and behind the counter, with locations in Oregon, Colorado, Texas, California, and Florida.  This year marks Voodoo Doughnut’s continued expansion, opening a second location in Denver, Colorado on Father’s day with another coming to Houston, Texas and two more undisclosed locations to follow.
