MIXT, the California-based, fast-casual restaurant known for farm fresh salads, grain bowls and market plates, is setting up shop in Silver Lake this fall—its third Los Angeles location—in a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly outpost on Sunset Blvd. MIXT Silver Lake will offer an elevated fine-casual dining experience, with indoor and outdoor seating, wine and craft beer, kombucha on tap and a “Salad Valet” for curbside pickup.

As the first fast-casual chain to become a Certified B Corporation, MIXT proves that it is possible to offer dining options that are equally environmentally responsible, nutritious and delicious.

Rooted in seasonal and locally sourced produce, MIXT offers rotating specials and signatures including the Beetnik with mixt greens, arugula, roasted golden beets, avocado, goat cheese, toasted walnuts, dried cranberries, shaved fennel, herbs and balsamic vinaigrette; Falaf with mixt greens, house-baked falafel crumbles, roasted cauliflower, avocado, grapes, cucumbers, chickpeas, fresh herbs and a lemon-tahini vinaigrette; and the Zesty grain bowl with quinoa, baby kale, grilled chicken, feta, oranges, avocado, cabbage, pickled red onion, fresh herbs and lemon herb vinaigrette. As part of its longstanding collaboration with Impossible™ Foods, MIXT Silverlake will be one of the first MIXT locations and restaurants nationwide to offer Impossible™ tastings, giving local diners a sneak peek at the newest items from the line of plant-based proteins.

Opened in 2006 by Leslie and David Silverglide, MIXT started in San Francisco with a mission to bring better eating to everyone. MIXT crafts its wide selection of salads, grain bowls, and warm plates by chefs to make plant-based cuisine as craveable as it is nutritious. The healthy fast-casual restaurant distinguishes itself by sourcing the highest quality sustainable ingredients and making everything from scratch at each location—from each dressing to grilled steelhead. Guests can also enjoy a healthy lunch or dinner with organic kombucha, local craft brews and small-label wines.

With its chef-driven menu, commitment to quality, and focus on a premium experience, MIXT is known for attracting legions of fans willing to wait in lines out the door. Families can now eat better together at MIXT with its new plant-based kids’ menu, designed to appeal to even the pickiest eater. MIXT has been recognized as one of the nation’s hottest fast-casual concepts and became a Certified B Corporation in 2018. From sprout to plate, MIXT actively supports healthy lifestyles, environmental sustainability, and a people-first approach to company culture.
