Dunkin’ announced the upcoming grand openings of three restaurants on Fairfield University campus on Tuesday, September 17. The restaurants mark the first to open on the University grounds and will be replacing a Starbucks and Einstein Bros Bagels.

Three different models will be available to students, including a full-service dining experience located at the John A. Barone Campus Center, which includes some of the brands Next Generation features such as Nitro Coffee. More “express” models will be available at the DiMenna-Nyselius Librabry and Charles F. Dolan School of Business.

“Fairfield University is excited to welcome Dunkin’ to our beautiful campus,” says Jim Fitzpatrick, assistant vice president, Fairfield University. “Two great brands….exceptional coffee and an exceptional Jesuit education go hand in hand…Stags do run on Dunkin’.”

Grand opening celebrations will take place throughout the day on September 17 at all three locations, including a ribbon cutting at each restaurant, complimentary giveaways, and tastings, in addition to a chance to win free coffee for a year for those participants who visit each location.

Dunkin’ non-traditional offerings are located at a variety of different venues from universities to airports and other mass transportation terminals, in addition to casinos and resorts, hospitals, stadiums, grocery stores, and military bases. Flexible design options are available to suit any facility, including full retail restaurants, kiosks and self-serve hot coffee stations perfect for gift shops and general stores. Dunkin’ bakery products can be prepared in the property’s own kitchen, with the addition of some simple equipment, giving the food and beverage team flexibility to manage product inventory in accordance with guest traffic.
