Duck Donuts is putting a twist on its National Coffee Day celebration, beginning September 27. Instead of promoting traditional coffee, all locations will fulfill the needs of its customers with a unique flavor that has never been offered in stores before—a powdered sugar donut featuring a dollop of buttercream delicately placed in the center, topped with ground coffee.

“Since we are unable to fill our donuts due to our warm, made-to-order concept, we took an innovative approach to finding a loophole that will satisfy the needs of our guests looking to enjoy a cream-filled donut,” says Russ DiGilio, founder and CEO of Duck Donuts. “We look forward to delivering a unique flavor experience coffee lovers will be sure to love as we celebrate National Coffee Day all weekend long.”

Duck Donuts is also promoting its fall flavors with the return of chopped apple, pumpkin icing and streusel topping. Stores are featuring a Harvest Assortment, ideal for any fall activity, with autumn-inspired combinations such as vanilla icing, topped with chopped apple and streusel, pumpkin icing with vanilla drizzle and a simple, warm cinnamon sugar donut. The company revealed its fall lineup of hot or iced espresso beverages, which include staples such as Pumpkin Spice Latte, Salted Caramel Mocha and a more unique flavor, Cookie Butter White Mocha.

Duck Donuts specializes in warm, delicious and made-to-order donuts. Customers can create their own donut combination by choosing from a variety of coatings, toppings and drizzles, including traditional favorites such as chocolate icing with sprinkles and more adventurous creations such as maple icing with bacon. The family-friendly stores offer a viewing area where children and adults alike can watch their donuts being made. Duck Donuts also sells coffee, tea, donut breakfast sandwiches and now offers online ordering and delivery in many locations.
