After much anticipation, Super Chix announced the opening of its first U.S. franchise location in Huntsville, Alabama at Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate Development’s Times Plaza located off Highway 231.

The Huntsville restaurant is the company’s first location outside of the Dallas market and the first franchise location anywhere in the U.S. “We are very excited to partner with local restaurateurs Kumar Patel and Rajesh Patel and their partners to bring the concept to Huntsville and later this year to Hoover, AL,” says Darryl Neider, CEO of Super Chix. The chain, founded by Nick Ouimet, opened its first location in Dallas, in 2014 and now has four restaurants operating in and around the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth metro area.

All menu items are made fresh and feature gourmet toppings free from MSG and GMOs. The fresh, never-frozen chicken is marinated in-store, grilled or hand-breaded and cooked in peanut oil which is free from additives. Even the toppings come from whole vegetables and are sliced by hand. There are also house-made sauces offered like ranch, honey mustard, a signature Super Chix sauce, buffalo, Korean BBQ and the bestselling Nashville hot chicken sauce that also comes on a sandwich or as a dipping sauce. “We take great pride that at Super Chix each meal is cooked-to-order, making it hot and fresh for the customers,” says Neider. Super Chix is focused on bringing together the highest quality ingredients, preparation methods and recipes that we all expect out of a great dining experience.

“This isn’t fast-food chicken — our high-quality, fresh tenders and filets are lightly breaded with breading that has just only seven ingredients — we believe simple is better. We have no drive-thrus and our interiors have an elevated, cool vibe that’s perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. We’ve developed a product and experience that stand out in the market and caters to all ages and walks of life — everyone enjoys high-quality food in a fun environment,” adds Neider.

In addition to its premium chicken and hand-cut fries, Super Chix also specializes in frozen custard which is served as hand-dipped in cones or cups, or in milkshakes and fusions (concretes). Chocolate and vanilla are churned each morning and are always on the menu, but Super Chix also offers a special flavor of week.

Future custard flavors include cookies and cream, Reese’s peanut butter cup, Butterfinger, English coffee toffee, chocolate chip cookie dough, black raspberry cheesecake and more. Super Chix was voted “Best French Fries” in Dallas by D Magazine because of its dedication to freshness and strict preparation methods that result in excellent taste.

“Times Plaza is the perfect location for the new-to-market Super Chix thanks to its easy accessibility and prominent visibility from the parkway,” says Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate leasing agent, Anusha Davis. “Nearby professionals will have another great option for a fast-casual lunch with healthy options and dinner crowds will discover a new quality eatery they can enjoy with family and friends. Super Chix has put together an excellent team here in Huntsville who will operate the brand and ensure that each visit has rave reviews.”

“In addition to the two new restaurant locations in Alabama, we have another restaurant slated to open in American Fork, Utah, in December of this year,” adds Neider, “and we are now getting a lot of interest from other solid prospective franchise partners.”
