800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen, known for its unique and innovative approach to the art of cooking with wood fire, has announced that it will open its first Midwest location and second airport operation, located within Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) on Wednesday, October 30. This exciting new operation is part of the brand’s partnership with Skyport Hospitality, an award-winning airport operator with locations in multiple airports across the United States.

Originally founded in Los Angeles in 2011 by chef Anthony Carron, the philosophy of 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen starts with the purest ingredients—scratch dough, fresh produce, and artisan-quality meats and cheeses placed into specially designed woodfired stone hearth ovens and woodfired rotisseries to create unique, subtle, and smoky tastes. With locations in multiple countries, 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen offers a diverse menu featuring both clean-eating and indulgent options.  From satisfying salads, bowls, sandwiches, woodfired protein and vegetable plates to of course their irresistible craft pizza, there’s something to please the palates of every traveler.

The Cleveland incarnation of 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, and promises to be a refreshing take on casual and approachable dining for the guests and residents of the greater Cleveland areas.

“We’re excited to bring our unique and delicious woodfired dining concept to the travelers at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport,” says Chef Carron. “It’s a pleasure to bring high-quality, chef-driven food to a new market and share it with travelers from around the globe.”

800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen’s agreement with Skyport Hospitality comes amid a very successful year for the brand, one in which it saw numerous markets open and several more territories scheduled to launch in the coming months.  The CLE location represents a continued focus on airports and other non-traditional locations, all of which seem perfectly suited for such enticing fare.

“Our company’s central mission is to elevate what it means to eat and drink in an airport,” says Dave Willner, chief operating officer of Skyport Hospitality.  “As we got to know the team, brand history, and operational standards of 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen, we immediately knew that this would be a collaboration that could help achieve that mission. The level of excellence in the cuisine and hospitality of 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen fit in perfectly with the continued redevelopment at Cleveland Hopkins Airport and the growth and excitement within the city.  We are thrilled to be working with Chef Anthony and this great brand and can’t wait to get that woodfired oven fired up.”

Since 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen opened its first location in Hollywood, CA nearly a decade ago, the brand has been turning heads and delighting palates across the globe and believes that the Cleveland Airport will serve as a great entry into the Midwest.

“We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to bring our woodfired flavors to the Midwest for quite some time now,” says Carron.  “We are so excited to introduce our brand and our menu to the people of Cleveland through their great airport, and we hope this is the beginning of many new opportunities for us within the region.”

The 1,352-square-foot 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen will be situated in Concourse A between gates A1 and A3 and will be open Monday through Sunday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
