Once again, City Barbeque will commemorate Veterans Day by treating veterans and troops to a meal on the house. All day on Monday, November 11, all veterans and U.S. military can stop by any City Barbeque location and receive a free sandwich, two sides, and a regular beverage, applicable on either dine-in or carryout orders.

City Barbeque has thanked veterans with a meal in this way for more than a decade; in 2018 alone, the brand served 12,340 complimentary Veterans Day meals. “It’s so important to the whole team here at City Barbeque to honor our military men and women,” says Rick Malir, CEO and founder of City Barbeque. “We’re grateful every day for their service and sacrifice, and we’re honored every Veterans Day to show our appreciation by sharing some quality time and some good barbeque.”

In addition to serving veterans and active military on Veterans Day, City Barbeque raises funds throughout the year for veterans’ causes. The company has raised more than $50,000 to date for the Resurrecting Lives Foundation, who works to support the estimated 20–25% of troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with traumatic brain injury. City Barbeque has also made significant donations to Mission 22, a campaign dedicated to awareness and treatment of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injuries that lead 22 veterans here at home to take their lives every day.
