Chopt Creative Salad Co. announced the opening of its Garden City restaurant at the Gallery at Westbury Plaza on Friday, December 13. In celebration of its opening, Chopt is collaborating with local partner The Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, “CP Nassau,” a not-for-profit health agency serving over 1,800 children and adults with cerebral palsy, development and other disabilities.

Chopt combines seasonal ingredients and authentic flavors from around the world to invent unbelievably cravable salads and bowls. The restaurant is constantly searching for inspiration to bring to its creative offerings. In addition to its classic and build-your-own salad options, Chopt creates a limited-time only menu inspired by locations near and far. With the recent launch of Destination Mexico, Chopt is spicing things up with two new menu additions – Chicken Al Pastor Salad and Barbacoa Brisket Bowl – until the end of the year. Additionally, at Chopt, 17 scratch-made dressings and brewed iced teas and lemonades are all made fresh daily.

As is the custom with each new restaurant opening, Chopt will celebrate Chopt Gives Day on December 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again for dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All customers who make a monetary donation to its charitable partner CP Nassau will receive a free salad. CP Nassau works to positively affect the quality of life in those with cerebral palsy, severe disabilities and service needs, while striving to prevent cerebral palsy and minimize its effects.

“The Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County is so thankful to Chopt for the opportunity to partner with them as they bring their amazing food to our area. Their mission to build a community around healthy eating ties in perfectly with what CP Nassau is all about. Chopt’s generous donation as a result of opening day sales will go to help make a difference in the lives of the children and adults with developmental disabilities that we have been helping since 1948,” says Patricia Quinn, communication and community outreach manager, CP Nassau.

The new 2,915-square-foot location features 49 seats with a variety of seating options including private booths with collaborative-style tables. Chopt Westbury features an oversized pickup shelf for to-go orders, custom Andrew Neyer lighting and specialty wallpaper by baTabasTa. The store is located in the Gallery at Westbury Plaza at 946 Old Country Road, Garden City, NY 11530 and can be reached at (516)-274-7444. Chopt’s hours will be Monday – Sunday, 10:30am – 9:30pm.
