Big Boy Restaurants has launched WhoIsDolly.com to help answer the question of where the icon has gone. Big Boy has changed over its logo Monday, revealing a re-introduction of Dolly, an old friend of Big Boy, doing the signature pose with the famous burger. Dolly was a fictional character dating back to the 1950’s, when the Big Boy comic book series was first introduced. Dolly, forever the one behind the camera, has a long history of interviewing the stars including Britney Spears, N’Sync and countless others is ready to step out from behind the camera and become the next icon.

“Dolly has been a life-long friend of Big Boy, but never the star. Starting next Monday, we’re making Dolly the star and celebrating with the release of a brand-new chicken sandwich,” says Jon Maurer, Vice President of Marketing, Big Boy.  “The chicken sandwich battle has become a phenomenon and on July 6th – National Fried Chicken day, we plan to win the battle once and for all and with a new star paving the way.”

Leading up to the launch, beginning today through next Sunday, guests who enter their email at whoisdolly.com have a chance to win $250, $100 or $50 Big Boy gift card. All entries will receive a promotional coupon for a buy one, get one free Dolly Chicken Sandwich valid July 6 – 13.

The Dolly Chicken Sandwich is 5 oz. hand-breaded chicken sandwich with pickles and signature Big Boy tartar sauce on a toasted brioche bun. For a limited-time, sandwiches will be sold with fries and retail for $6.99.
