Mici Handcrafted Italian is amping up their already-robust charitable giving program, Dining for Dollars, by launching a Week of Giving to support the Colorado Chapter of HopeKids.

HopeKids provides ongoing events, activities and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition. HopeKids aims to surround these remarkable children and their families with the message that hope is a powerful medicine.

From November 30 through December 6, 2020 any time a guest enters the code “HOPEKIDS” into their order, they will receive a free Kids Pizza Kit and Mici will donate 20% of their order to the organization. The code and fundraiser are valid for delivery, carryout, and dine-in orders. Limit one free pizza kit per order; $15 minimum to receive free pizza kit.

To kick off this great partnership, co-founder and president Jeff Miceli joined up with HopeKids Colorado’s Executive Director Howie Hutchinson and twenty HopeKids families for a meaningful and fun virtual pizza-making event.

Says Hutchinson, “Out of hundreds of virtual events, this was one of the most engaging virtual events that we’ve been able to offer the HopeKids families who we serve here in Colorado. Thank you, Mici Handcrafted Italian! We’re excited to share our video with everyone!”

Isolation and social distancing are ongoing realities for many of families who have a child with a life-threatening medical condition. For these families, the common cold and flu season can often become a very serious threat for immuno-compromised children. With current COVID-19 restrictions, nearly all of HopeKids’ programming has temporarily ceased, forcing the organization to pivot and find other ways to bring its unique and powerful community to the families they serve. As such, fundraising will help the organization work towards creative ways to virtually bring together families struggling under added concerns the general population may not face during this time.

The Mici Handcrafted Italian brand features family friendly modern eateries with a menu that focuses on authentic Italian family-recipes and uses all-natural, unprocessed, clean ingredients. The made-to-order pastas, artisan pizzas, salads, and more are all available for dine-in, carryout, catering and delivery—Mici’s menu has something for everyone.

Founded in 2004 by siblings Jeff, Kim and Michael Miceli, Mici brought on Partner and CEO Elliot Schiffer in 2017 to grow the brand in partnership with the Miceli family. The company launched their National Franchise program this past summer.
