Duck Donuts announced its Toco Hills, Georgia donut shop and its products received Kosher Certification by Atlanta Kashruth Commission (AKC), the largest kosher supervision agency in the Southeast. The certification verifies its ingredients, donut shop and actual production of its menu items have no trace of non-kosher substances.

“The decision was made to transition the Toco Hills location to a kosher donut shop after simply responding to the request from those in our local community who have food restrictions for religious reasons,” says André Walters, Charlotte, North Carolina and Atlanta franchise owner. “Now we’ve expanded the opportunity to delight our guests who follow kosher principles with our warm, delicious and made-to-order donuts, and our Kosher Certification proves that our product and operations maintain high quality standards.”

Duck Donuts specializes in warm, delicious and made-to-order donuts. Customers can create their own donut combination by choosing from a variety of coatings, toppings and drizzles, including traditional favorites such as chocolate icing with sprinkles or lemon icing with raspberry drizzle. The family-friendly donut shops offer a viewing area where children and adults alike can watch their donuts being made. Duck Donuts also sells coffee, tea, donut breakfast sandwiches and now offers online ordering and delivery.

“We are thrilled our Toco Hills donut shop, products and made-to-order process are now Kosher Certified,” says Russ DiGilio, Duck Donuts founder and CEO. “Now that we have completed our first conversion, we will continue to explore additional opportunities for new and existing franchisees.”

Toco Hills Duck Donuts is located at 3025 N Druid Hills Road NE in Atlanta, in the Toco Hills Promenade. The donut shop closed Monday, Jan. 25, to make the conversion, and reopened Tuesday, Jan. 26.
