McDonald’s Canada announced that Alyssa Buetikofer has joined the Canadian Executive Team as the company’s new Chief Marketing Officer. She joins the Canadian business after nearly 15 years working with the brand in key U.S. and global marketing leadership roles

Buetikofer brings significant expertise across strategy, creative, branding, analytics, and traditional and digital media planning. Most recently, she held the role of Senior Director, U.S. Marketing Brand & Content, where she led high-visibility national campaigns and promotions, including recent Famous Orders celebrity program, which achieved record-breaking results.

“Alyssa has earned a reputation as a strategic marketing visionary who can inspire creativity and drive growth, while expertly balancing the needs of the business with the interest of our guests,” says Jacques Mignault, president and CEO, McDonald’s Canada. “She is truly a testament to the deep pool of amazing talent within our global corporation. Her deep experience with our brand and admirable track record in the U.S. made her the perfect person to drive our brand forward in Canada.”

“I’ve spent my career working with the McDonald’s brand and I am humbled by this opportunity to lead the Marketing team and play a pivotal role in the brand’s growth in Canada,’ says Buetikofer. “The Canadian business has a track record of excellence within the McDonald’s network, and I am looking forward to bringing my global experience to such an exciting and dynamic market.”

Buetikofer succeeds Antoinette Benoit, McDonald’s Canada’s CMO since 2014, who retired at the end of February.

Alyssa is excited to move to Canada with her husband Rob and three children – Pierce, Quinn and Brady – and is looking forward to exploring the country with her family when she is able.
