The Buona Companies, owner and operator of family-owned Buona, announced that it will be opening a new location in Countryside, Illinois in early June of 2021.

This location will be the 25th Buona restaurant across the greater-Chicago area and will be located at the corner of South LaGrange Road and Plainfield Road.

To celebrate the grand opening, the Buona team has over a week of events planned to begin in early June. Everything from community focused events to free beer and wine tastings, to a special appearance of the Rainbow Cone truck, it is sure to be a family and community affair.

On Tuesday, June 2nd, Buona will kick off opening events with an 11am ribbon cutting featuring the Buonavolanto family and local officials. They will then celebrate with an evening event that benefits the Center for Independence Through Conductive Education, a local charity that focuses on helping children and adults with physical disabilities maximize their independence. The event will begin at 5pm and run until 8pm. All menu items will be 50% off and all proceeds will go directly to the Center for Independence. Guests will also enjoy giveaways, a free photobooth and much more.

On June 3rd Buona will host its official grand opening of the Countryside location, treating the first 100 customers to a free t-shirt and other Buona swag items as the company opens the doors to the public for the first time. Thursday evening will feature a family friendly band outside (weather permitting) for diners to enjoy while they eat their favorite Buona classics. Friday evening will kick off with Buona’s signature happy hour, offering free beer and wine tastings and half off all beer and wine purchases. Finally, running from June 9th through the 13th The Official Rainbow Cone truck, will be on site scooping its signature Rainbow Cones for the community.

Throughout all the week of activities, customers also have the option to sign up for MyBuona rewards and take advantage of free giveaways.

“We have a lot planned for the opening week because we’re looking forward to showing this community how excited we are to be a part of it,” shares Don Buonavolanto, founding brother. “As with all our locations, our goal in Countryside is to feed the community, give back as much as we can, and create a family-friendly environment everyone can enjoy for years, and generations, to come.”
