Pizza Inn Inc. announced the opening of its newest buffet-style restaurant at 1962 Roberts Avenue in Lumberton, North Carolina. The new location also offers carryout and serves as the company’s first traditional drive thru in North Carolina.

With 37 restaurants now open and operating throughout North Carolina, Pizza Inn continues to target the state as part of a national expansion initiative that has revitalized the chain.

“As we continue to grow our brand and open new restaurants in various markets across the country, we are thrilled to offer customers in Lumberton our freshly made pizzas, pastas, and other popular menu items,” says Charlie Morrison, CEO of Pizza Inn. “We are confident that this new location will exemplify the high operational standards we set for all of our locations.”

The Lumberton restaurant is owned and operated by Scottish Food Systems Inc., a restaurant management company that owns seven other Pizza Inn locations and 27 KFC restaurants throughout North and South Carolina. The North Carolina–based company, whose Conway, South Carolina, restaurant was recently recognized as Pizza Inn’s Restaurant of the Year, is actively seeking real estate for additional locations in southern North Carolina.

“The popularity of Pizza Inn continues to grow with every new location we open throughout the state,” says Tom Broome, president of Scottish Food Systems. “Customers in Lumberton are in for a one-of-a-kind experience that is unmatched by other pizza concepts in the area.”
