Frymaster, a Manitowoc Foodservice company, was recently recognized by McDonald’s with their Significant Contributor Award. The award signifies Frymaster’s commitment to work with McDonald’s to positively reduce the carbon footprint and energy consumption within their restaurants. Frymaster received this energy saving award for both the Frymaster LOV Fryer, electric and gas models, and the High Density Universal Holding Cabinet (UHCHD).

The energy savings and reduced oil use associated with the Frymaster LOV fryers are significant. They cook the same amount of food in a smaller frypot with energy efficiencies that exceed Energy Star standards. The UHCHD holds significantly more food and uses less energy than previous models. Both energy saving units can be installed in new or existing restaurants, offering significant impact to the McDonald’s system.

“Frymaster thanks McDonald’s for acknowledging our commitment to making equipment with improved energy efficiency,” says Dave Mosteller, general manager of Frymaster. “This award means a great deal to all at Frymaster especially as we celebrate our 75th anniversary—75 years of firsts. Frymaster has a proud, 40-plus-year tradition of service and innovative foodservice equipment development with McDonald’s and we look forward to building on that great beginning.”
