Working to address the needs of store owners, managers, and operators for flexible, high-performance POS workstation technology, Panasonic announced the addition of several POS/management software vendors to its growing list of technology integration partners. The interoperability of the systems allows the providers to offer their suite of solutions on the new Panasonic Lite-ray workstation.

“It is testament to our position in the market, and to the value of the open architecture in our POS workstations, that these highly rated companies have chosen to work with us,” says Sam Miyakodani, group manager of Panasonic System Networks Company. “The integrated solutions also further the trend to one-stop, seamless POS management solutions that are an essential business tool in today’s retail and hospitality spaces.”

Panasonic’s Lite-ray workstation can now be integrated with the following POS/management software solutions designed for the hospitality and retail industries: Digital Dining, Focus, GoldTech Point of Solution, Maitre’D Canada, Micro$ale POS, POSitouch, WAND, and XPIENT Solutions.

The Energy Star Qualified Panasonic Lite-ray POS Workstation delivers reliable POS functionality at an affordable price. Based on the design of the flagship Stingray workstation, Lite-ray is purpose-built with a fanless design featuring fewer moving parts. Its Intel Atom Processor is power-optimized to deliver more robust performance per watt, and the open architecture supports Microsoft Windows including both standard and embedded platforms, along with Linux. Lite-ray is backed by a three-year warranty, and additionally offers a full complement of options to further customize the POS solution, including a RAID data back-up and recovery system.
