Denver, Colorado-based MAD Greens is about to freshen up College Avenue.

Last week, the fast-casual restaurant group, known for its healthy gourmet made to-order salads, soups, and grilled to order panini sandwiches, will open the doors to its second Fort Collins, Colorado, location at 616 S. College Avenue.

The 2,100-square-foot restaurant will seat 65 indoors and 18-24 on its newly designed patio.

“We’re excited to bring a second location to our loyal customers in Fort Collins,” says Marley Hodgson, CEO of MAD Greens, “and to give back to this great community,”

To officially celebrate its grand opening, MAD Greens will offer Free Salads to all of its customers from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27.

On that day, MAD Greens will also sponsor a donation drive for Harmony House. The nonprofit is a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children, with a warm, homelike, family visitation center.

MAD Greens will serve up their free salads. In return, they are asking customers to give back to the Harmony House by bringing a donation of printer paper, paper towels, toilet paper, tissue, office supplies, or gift certificates to Office Depot or Wal-Mart to the new restaurant on April 27. Cash donations are also welcome.

“MAD Greens has been a loyal supporter of Harmony House since it opened its first Fort Collins location two years ago,” says Maureen Carrigan, Volunteer Coordinator for Harmony House. “Plus, our whole office loves their healthy lunch choices.”

MAD Greens purchased the site of their newest restaurant in January 2010. Building improvements included a complete renovation and expansion of the interior and an outdoor patio. The company operates eight restaurants in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins and plans to add two to three additional locations in the next 14 months.
