Bruegger’s Bakery and Café celebrated two grand openings this weekend in Kansas and Connecticut.

The Kansas bakery, a franchise location, is located in Overland Park at 13713 Metcalf Ave in the Corbin Park Shopping Center. The 1800 square foot bakery-café features indoor seating for 30 with an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items including the chain’s freshly baked New York-style bagels. The bakery also offers free WIFI and catering for guests.

The New Haven bakery, a corporate location, is one of Bruegger’s largest bakeries, at 2,600 square feet. It features indoor seating for 80 with an extensive menu of breakfast and lunch items including Bruegger’s New York-style, kettle boiled bagels. The bakery also offers free WIFI and catering for guests.

The openings are part of Bruegger’s sustainable growth strategy. Other planned openings include Raleigh, North Carolina; Tampa, Florida; and Worthington, Ohio. The chain also has plans to enter new markets in 2010, including Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle/Tacoma, and Atlanta.
