Jack in the Box restaurants announced today the release of its new Grilled Chicken Salad.

Jack’s Grilled Chicken Salad, which extends the chain’s line of entreè salads, features a blend of fresh Romaine, Iceberg, and Spring Mix along with shredded cheddar cheese, grape tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion, and shredded carrots served with seasoned croutons and low-fat balsamic dressing on the side. The salad is topped with Jack’s strips of moist and tender grilled chicken.

“Guests seeking healthier menu alternatives will enjoy our new Grilled Chicken Salad,” says Tammy Bailey, division vice president of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. “It has a wide variety of tasty ingredients and can be enjoyed as a balanced meal. It is filling, yet light, and meets the HealthyDiningFinder.com standards.”

The Grilled Chicken Salad, in addition to the existing Chicken Club Salad and Southwest Chicken Salad, is available for the suggested price of $4.99, plus tax, at all participating Jack in the Box restaurants. The Grilled Chicken Salad meets the nutritional standards of Healthy Dining’s dietician-approved menu items and is listed on its Web site.
