Panasonic’s Attune Drive-Thru Communications System, a digital order taking system for the quick-serve restaurant industry, expanded from its current feature set with the addition of a telephone interface. Using the new Attune Telephone Interface, a programmed Attune Manager AIO (All-In-One) or belt pack module can now be used to answer phone calls coming into the store, making it useful for multi-tasking store managers.

“With the Attune Telephone Interface, store managers now have more control of the overall operation without sacrificing convenience or quality,” says Sam Miyakodani, group manager for Panasonic. “Only Panasonic Attune offers optimized digital audio transmission technologies along with our advanced feature set. We are committed to continuing to enhance our offerings, adding value to our customers’ investments.”

To answer a call with the Attune Telephone Interface, the manager simply presses a button once and is then connected to the phone and temporarily disconnected from the Drive-Thru System. By pressing a button, the phone conversation can be muted or the call ended, and the connection is automatically returned to the Drive-Thru operations mode.

Attune uses the Way2Call Pro Interface to connect to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Way2Call Pro comes pre-programmed with custom firmware to work with Attune, so minimal installation is required. The cable is connected to the Attune Center Module and to the Way2Call Pro device, which is then connected to the standard PSTN RJ-11 phone jack.
