Del Taco announced that it will raise funds to help more than 430 Phoenix-area scouts attend the 100th Anniversary National Scout Jamboree next summer.

All Phoenix-area Del Taco restaurants will donate 20 percent of sale proceeds from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on October 21 and 28, as well as November 4 and 11. When ordering, customers need to present a fundraiser flier posted online at http://www.deltacoscouts.info.

“Next year’s centennial Jamboree marks a historic and important milestone for the Boy Scouts of America,” says Keith Woods, Jamboree scoutmaster. “This will be an exciting opportunity for our local scouts to be part of a huge celebration. We appreciate everything Del Taco is doing to make this trip happen.”

More than 430 scouts from 10 Jamboree Troops will benefit from these fundraisers. The 2010 National Scout Jamboree will take place next July in Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia.

“Scouts provides a valuable experience for kids and we are excited to help these scouts attend the historic Jamboree,” says Michelle Henriques, Del Taco field marketing manager.

In addition to Phoenix area restaurants, the fundraisers will take place at Del Taco locations in Casa Grande and Tucson.
