Earlier today, Daphne’s Greek Cafe announced the appointment of Greg Johnson to the newly created position of vice president of finance. Based in Daphne’s San Diego corporate offices, Johnson will serve on the executive team for the company and report to Steven Fricker, president.

“Greg brings to Daphne’s a wealth of experience and tenure working in senior management positions within the industry. As Daphne’s continues its rapid growth and expansion, his extensive industry and professional knowledge will further our vision: to serve Greek to America. Needless to say, we are thrilled to have Greg as part of the team,” says Fricker.

Greg Johnson comes to Daphne’s Greek Cafe with over 20 years of financial management experience. He joins the company from U.S. Foodservice, where for 13 years he held various leadership positions, from division controller to regional CFO to vice president of sales. Most recently, Johnson served as the division president of the San Diego Division where he managed all aspects of operations for the wholesaler’s distribution of food and related products to restaurants, hotels, military, healthcare, and hospitality industries throughout San Diego and Riverside Counties.

Prior to U.S. Foodservice, Johnson held leadership roles with Lottery Enterprises, General Dynamics Corporation, and Arthur Andersen.

Johnson is a graduate of Wheaton College and holds a Masters degree in Accounting Science from the University of Illinois.
