Pretzelmaker and Pretzel Time, the innovators of the original Pretzel Dog, are launching the Pretzel Dogs Kick Bun Video Challenge.

The Pretzel Dogs Kick Bun Video Challenge encourages Pretzel Dog fans to produce and submit original videos of two minutes or less that showcase a Pretzelmaker or Pretzel Time Pretzel Dog defeating a regular hotdog in an array of quirky and creative challenges.

Contestants must register online at kickbun.com where they can find official contest rules, guidelines, and links to store locators. The contest runs through September 9 at which point a panel of judges will review the video submissions and select a winner. The champion of the Pretzel Dogs Kick Bun Video Challenge will be awarded a $5,000 grand prize.

NexCen Brands Inc., parent company of Pretzelmaker and Pretzel Time, has produced several sample challenge videos to get the competition rolling.

“Since we are the innovators of the Pretzel Dog we decided to take an innovative approach to this year’s summer program,” says Chris Dull, president of NexCen Franchise Management. “It seemed fitting that we utilize original consumer generated content to showcase the original Pretzel Dog. It will be interesting to see what Pretzelmaker / Pretzel Time fans will dream up.”
