Sheetz, Inc., a pioneer in the convenience technology industry, and Capital One are testing an innovative new program that provides debit card customers with rewards similar to those available to credit customers—The Sheetz Debitz MasterCard.

The new Sheetz Debitz card links to a customer’s current checking account (regardless of bank), and allows them to earn rewards in a way that’s never been done before. Rewards are based on purchases made at Sheetz and anywhere else that MasterCard is accepted. Customers will earn bonus points on all purchases made at Sheetz. These rewards will be given in the form of Sheetz Gift Cards that can then be used to make future purchases in any Sheetz store. The debit card works like a standard debit MasterCard in stores, online, or at ATMs.

“We pride ourselves on making our stores as convenient as possible for our customers, and we’re pleased to join Capital One in this partnership to bring another great service to people who shop at Sheetz,“ says Louie Sheetz, executive vice president of marketing, Sheetz, Inc. “The new Sheetz Debitz card is a way customers can make their money go farther by earning valuable rewards that can be used for food, gas or anything else they need at all Sheetz locations.”

“We’re excited to be partnering with a progressive company like Sheetz to design a unique debit program that builds customer loyalty and drives sales,” says Scott Grimes, senior vice president of payments, Capital One. “Their reputation as an innovator combined with their customer focus presented a great formula for piloting our new approach to debit.”
