Consistent with the company’s
commitment to its guests of delivering great taste and good nutrition, The
Holland, Inc. today announced that it is switching to trans fat free oils at
all of its Burgerville restaurants. By February 1, all 39
Burgerville locations will transition to cooking with trans fat free oil. Menu
items, including favorites such as french fries, halibut, chicken strips and
Walla Walla sweet onion rings, will now be prepared with a trans fat free
canola oil.

“This was a decision that we made based on feedback from our guests,” said
Jack Graves, chief cultural officer for The Holland. “We want to provide
healthier selections for our guests while also maintaining the great flavor of
Burgerville food that our guests have come to rely on. We’ve conducted a
number of taste-tests, and our guests told us how much they love the taste and
texture of items cooked in the new canola oil. We are excited to offer our
guests the same great tasting food using a healthier product.”
