Quiznos Sub has added a line of low-carb, “toasted” salads to its menu.

According to a company spokesperson, “the secret is that Quiznos toasts the meats and cheeses to bring out all the flavors of the ingredients,” much like its sandwiches.

The so-called Craveable Salads come in five flavors. The Black & Bleu features black Angus steak strips, blue cheese crumbles, and red onion, with balsamic vinaigrette dressing; the Roadhouse Ranch features barbecue beef, bacon, and cheddar, with ranch dressing; the Roman Chicken features chicken breast strips and Parmesan, Asiago, and Romano cheeses, with peppercorn caesar dressing; the Honey Mustard Chicken features chicken breast strips, cheddar, and bacon, with honey mustard dressing; and the Yin-Yang Chicken features chicken breast strips tossed in sesame ginger sauce and red and green peppers, with sesame ginger dressing.

All are served on top of a salad greens blend with cherry tomatoes. The price point is $4.69 to $5.49.
