Starbucks Corporation (Nasdaq: SBUX) today reported consolidated net revenues of $279 million for the four-week period ended October 27, 2002, an increase of 24 percent from consolidated net revenues of $225 million for the same period in fiscal 2002. On a comparable store sales basis (stores open for at least 13 months), sales at Company-operated stores increased 10 percent for the four weeks ended October 27, 2002, as compared to the same four-week period in fiscal 2002.

Starbucks opened a net total of 94 stores over the four week period ended October 27, 61 in the U.S. and 33 in international markets.
