Anaheim, Calif—June 17, 2002—Carl’s Jr. plans to offer three new menu items beginning Wednesday, June 19th. For a limited time only, participating Carl’s Jr. restaurants will offer the Grilled Onion Bacon Cheeseburger, Jalapeno Cheeseburger and Buffalo Ranch Chicken Salad.

“We think our guests will be very pleased with these new menu items,” said Stephen Buchan, senior vice president of marketing for Carl’s Jr. “All three are best-in-class products that offer distinctive great taste.”

The Grilled Onion Bacon Cheeseburger consists of a charbroiled beef patty topped with a slice of American cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, grilled onions and Santa Fe sauce. The suggested retail price for the burger is $2.79 for the single or $4.59 in a combo with fries and a drink. A new television and radio advertising campaign supporting the burger is to air June 24th,

The Jalapeno Cheeseburger features a charbroiled beef patty topped with a slice of American cheese, onions, jalapenos and Santa Fe sauce. The suggested retail price for the single is 99 cents or $1.59 for the double. Hispanic media, both television and radio, will be used to launch the sandwich.

Carl’s Jr.’s Buffalo Ranch Chicken Salad features a garden salad mix with carrot sticks, celery sticks, crispy Chicken Breast Strip pieces and a terrific buffalo ranch dressing. The suggested retail price is $3.25.
