The Reuters news service noted that hamburger chain Jack in the Box, Inc., said on Tuesday it plans to spend $10 million over the next four years to bring its restaurants in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
These access changes, said the Reuters report, include installing ramps, wider doors, and larger bathrooms at some of its older establishments, according to Jack in the Box’s annual filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Jack in the Box must comply with the law by October 2005 at its company-operated restaurants as part of a settlement of a 1995 lawsuit, noted the same Reuters report.
