Through its La Estrella Latina de Carl’s Jr. Scholarship, CKE Restaurants,
Inc. has awarded 20 university-bound Latino high school students with $1,000 each to help defray college costs.

“For 60 years Carl’s Jr. has been a company committed to being a great community partner,” said Andrew F. Puzder,
president and chief executive officer of CKE. “It is in this spirit that we hope to demonstrate to the Latino community

potential to succeed, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, educational and

or family circumstances also are considered in the selection process. Recipients must reside in Los Angeles, Orange,
