CKE Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: CKR) has named Jeff Chasney vice president and chief information officer and promoted Steve Eddings to director, facilities and energy.

Chasney, who joined CKE on March 27, is responsible for providing CKE with strategic direction for using technology and information to enhance company profitability. He also oversees all information technology personnel and management.

Before joining CKE, Chasney was with Clark Refining and Marketing for four years as vice president and chief information officer. Additionally, Chasney has more than 13 years experience in the foodservice industry, having served as vice president and chief information officer at VICORP Restaurants, Inc. and Long John Silver’s, Inc.

Chasney received his bachelor of science degree in computer science and mathematics at Wayne State University in Detroit.

Chasney and his family will be relocating to Orange County, California.

Steve Eddings has been promoted from manager, energy and support services to director, facilities and energy. He is primarily responsible for Carl’s Jr.’s regional and corporate facilities departments. Additionally, he oversees energy management for all three of CKE Restaurants’ concepts, Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s and Taco Bueno.

Since joining the company in 1983, Eddings has held several positions including repair and maintenance technician, regional facilities supervisor and regional facilities manager. He has won the CKE Star Performer Award twice during his career.

Eddings and his family reside in Modesto, California.

CKE Restaurants, Inc., through its subsidiaries, franchisees and licensees, operates 934 Carl’s Jr. quick-service restaurants in 13 Western states and Mexico, 2,788 Hardee’s quick-service restaurants in 37 states and 11 foreign countries and 122 Taco Bueno quick-service restaurants in Texas and Oklahoma.
